QUALIFICATION CRITERIA for the EUROPEAN and WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

9-11^th APRIL 2010, BENALMADENA COSTA, MALAGA, SPAIN

European Championships: no qualification is required for these Championships, the youngest age group will be under 8 in the Solo Championships and under 12 in the Ceili Championships, no minimum age is required.

World Championships: Dancers who wish to compete at the World Championships must compete at one of the following events PLUS the European Championships of 2010:

BRITISH OPEN or Stratford Feis 2010

GERMAN OPEN

EAST EUROPEAN OPEN

All IRELANDS(CRDM) or Dublin Feis 2010

GOLD&SILVER CROWN(AAIDT)

The only exceptions for the qualification criteria are dancers who reside in Asia, South America or Scandinavia.

The youngest age group will be under 12 , the minimum age required for the Solo Championships is 10 years on 1^st of January 2010. There is no minimum age for the under 12 Ceili team.
